Brother Shirts {And a Cute Newborn Shirt}

 There's not a whole lot to say about these except, aren't they just too cute?!?
We're taking them to the hospital to hopefully get some cute shots of the new brothers together. They're going to be adorable together!

Here's a close up of each...

I created the shirts using freezer paper stenciling and fabric paint. If you've never tried it, you should check out this video tutorial. It's super easy and fun!

While I was at it, I decided to make this little cutie too:
Ahhh! So cute!

Hopefully, I'll have pictures to share of the boys in the shirts soon!

Hospital Maternity Duffle Bag {And Some Help Packing It}

Sometime in the process of perusing blogs and Pinterest while preparing for Little Brother's arrival, I decided it would be fun to make a new duffle bag for our hospital stay. I looked and look on Pinterest for an easy {and free} pattern and came across this one from Family Ever After (she also has a tutorial for it here which is actually the one I followed).

With some minor modifications to the measurements to make it bigger, I was able to easily sew this cute bag. I already had all the supplies, so it didn't even cost me a penny. Score! There's plenty of room for everything we'll need during our stay, and it will make a great overnight bag later down the road.

Some items you'll find in our bag:
-A notebook
-Hair ties, clips, and head bands
-Tennis balls (for massages during labor)
-"Going home" clothes
-Little Man's gift for the baby
-Focal point

We packed a separate bag for the baby with a couple outfits, blankets, socks, and fun stuff like that.

Some good resources for deciding what to pack in your bag:

I think the best list I looked at was the one from our hospital. I'd check to see if your hospital has their own list, but this one is great.

This post also has some great ideas. One of the best ideas she has is to write a list of last minute items to grab that you can't pack now (your cell phone/phone charger, makeup, etc). You may not be able to remember all those things if you're running out the door to go to the hospital.

We're feeling prepared and anxiously awaiting the day we get to carry that bag into the hospital with us!

Nursery Tour {Corner Nursery In A Master Bedroom}

Yesterday marked the 38 week mark for this pregnancy! Only two more weeks to go until the due date, and we can't wait! We're wondering if maybe our little guy may even decide to arrive a little early. If he's ready, then we wouldn't mind that at all. Little Man keeps saying he wants him to "come out". Me too, buddy! He's going to be the best big brother. I wanted to capture and remember how he's always kissing and hugging "the baby"/my belly, so we snapped this picture last week:
He's just so sweet!

Time seems to almost be standing still. I'm thankful that the rest of the pregnancy has just flown by, because now I'm getting so anxious to meet him!
I'm not going to lie...the thought of not being pregnant is really great too.

We are ready though!

Everything is in place including the little "corner nursery" in our bedroom. We're still in our two bedroom apartment, so Little Brother will be bunking with us for the time being. Luckily, our room is a fairly good size for an apartment, so we were able to create a little space just for him.

We found this great mini crib that fits perfectly in the corner.

I made this bird mobile for around $1.00 since I already had most of the supplies. All it took was felt, a little sewing, a little stuffing, embroidery thread, and part of an embroidery hoop.

We already had the flowers on the outside and orange frames from another project at our old house, but I wanted to change it up a little. These cute prints were perfect!

All that's left to complete the nursery is Little Brother himself. We can't wait!
